About Me
Your Child Is in Great Hands
Philosophy
Hi, I'm Ms. Jesscia. I am located in Carmel Valley right across the street from the police department. I have been a licensed childcare provider for more than 21 years. I have worked at several daycare centers across San Diego prior to starting my own small home-based daycare. I have completed numerous child development units. I am fingerprinted through Live Scan and I am CPR first-aid certified.

When I was a little girl, I would always say that I wanted 10 kids and babies when I grow up. It is a little funny to me now because it is true in a way. I have 4 kids of my own(adults now) and 6 maximum in my home daycare. How ironic!

With that being said, I am so lucky to have the best job in the world. It is truly a joy to watch infants and toddlers grow and develop. It is such a reward that parents trust me and allow me to offer my love with the best care to their children.

Health & Safety
As a childcare provider, it is my top priority to ensure your child is always safe and healthy.
I have a sick policy to minimize the spread of germs and illnesses. Any child that is vomiting, has diarrhea or a fever, green discharge from the nose, a chronic cough, pink eye or any type of flu is required to stay home until they are 24 hours symptom free without the use of Tylenol or any over-the-counter medication to ease symptoms. If they start showing symptoms while they are in my care, they will be sent home. Any child that travels outside of the state will be required to quarantine for 48 hours before returning to daycare. To lower the chances of illnesses spreading, I sanitize all toys at the end of each day when all kids have left.
As far as safety, me and the kiddos practice fire drills and earthquake drills. I have a fire extinguisher in case of any emergencies. As I mentioned previously, I am CPR first-aid certified. I have dedicated and safety proofed my entire downstairs for the children. There is no furniture or sharp corners, the flooring is all carpet and I have plugs in all of the outlets. Not to mention, I also have safety gates blocking access to the kitchen/bathroom and even with that, I have locks on all of my cabinets. I do my best to lower the risks of minor injuries but head bonks and small scrapes can still happen so I do have a well equipped first-aid kit AND several cold teethers in the freezer.
If a little accident does happen, I want to reassure you that your child will be comforted and showered with love and cuddles.
