Our Class
Diverse Learning Environment
Infants
I am licensed to have only three infants at a time. A child is considered an infant until the age of 2 years old with licensing rules. Parents are required to bring formula and diapers but I do provide baby wipes. Infants are diaper changed every 2 hours unless a BM then they are changed right away. I always have A&D ointment on hand.
I have toys specifically to enhance motor skills. We read tons of books and listen to kid-friendly music. We do small sensory crafts as well.
Toddlers
I have no more than three toddlers in my care at a time. A child is considered a toddler once they reach the age of 2 and they typically stay in my care until their parents feel they are ready to move onto preschool.
I provide all meals and snacks. Organic fruits and vegetables. Milk is given at every snack and mealtime. I am also very flexible and can accommodate dietary restrictions. Water is accessible all day as the children have color assigned sippy cups.
We do have a very structured schedule for eating, activities, outdoor play and nap time.
Some activities we do include practicing our ABC's and 123's. We have circle time with flashcards to learn our colors, letters and shapes. We practice our animal sounds. Arts and crafts such as finger painting and coloring. We also do sensory activities which include playing with playdough and puzzles. Some outdoor activities we enjoy are playing with chalk and bubbles. I also have a playhouse and a mini sandbox in my backyard that my daycare kiddos love.
